Kate is the daughter of an Asian immigrant mother who moved to America after losing the last of her family, and an upstanding businessman father who took the woman in as his spouse for dubious reasons. While living in a gated community in Southern California, she would grow up hiding her Electi Ability as best she could while trying and failing to rise up to her parents expectations.

After a day out where she tried to disguise herself and let loose, her secret Electi ability was suddenly public knowledge. Her father wasted no time in getting rid of her by sending her to the ERA to save face. Previously, Kate only enjoyed activities that can be done alone or without a lot of physically running or walking around due to her abilities, leading her to become a somewhat talented gamer and part time shut in. Now, she does her best to make a new identity for herself on campus by faking it ‘till she makes it.

“Heel Slip”

Kate slips as if on ice/wheels when balancing on the heel(s). The upper foot works as a stopper/brake, although due to the odd placement using it as such will cause Kate to trip head over heels (excuse the pun). This means she almost cannot stop once she has built up any notable amount of speed. The terrain greatly affects the usability of this ability making tough/rough and uneven surfaces impassable or risky and smooth surfaces easy to glide across.
