Same as her brother, Merla is a Fox and Raven hybrid Therian; unlike the Rox, Meral is primarily a raven with minor fox traits, affectionally called a “Faven”. Originating from Feather’s Peak an Avian village in nestled high in the Rockies, Merla spent most of the time focusing on her mildly successful career as a musician which left little to no time to spend with her family. After abandoning her lonesome career, Merla enrolled as ERA’s peppy and passionate music teacher to spend more time with her socially struggling brother and explore more avenues of life.

Her music club breathed life into what would now become the school’s most infamous rock band, Collateral Damage, which later inspired other bands like the Offchords and RGB. However, after learning of the events of Skyber’s Wildcard Tournament, she petitioned Administration to let Leaf graduate early, and since then has returned to Feather’s Peak to continue watching over her brother and uncle on an extended sabbatical.
