ART OF Mr. Nez

Bio

Born in a Navajo reservation in Arizona, Mr. Nez was raised a dedicated son of a farmer, and fell in love with plants at a young age. When his Electi ability manifested while helping his family in their field, he turned to spiritualism to reconcile with his new reality, and grew to adulthood as a well-respected man deeply rooted in his cultural traditions. For several years, he traveled to the Frontier to act as a spiritual guide to those who would listen, hoping to help find a future for with those reluctant or afraid to change.

Eventually, ERA caught wind of his achievements and extended an invitation, recognizing his unique perspective and vast agricultural knowledge. By mentoring young Electi, he hoped to help them find balance between their abilities and their identities, just as he sought to do for himself. Recently, he had just returned from his sabbatical, and now he is in charge of cleaning up the mess that was the former FFA, and helping heal the wounds of Electi stigma by doing what he knows to do best.

Electi

Ability: Verdant Influence The innate connection with plant life and appended living plant matter, allowing the user to subtly influence their growth, command simple movements, and intuitively sense a plant specimen’s needs and history. With this, a struggling plant may thrive under his care, and seeds may germinate faster in his presence.

However, this effect is gradual and works best when he maintains a connection with the plant over time, or when he is physically touching or in direct proximity with what he wants to influence. He cannot force plants to grow instantly, but he can accelerate natural processes slightly. He cannot “talk” with plants in a sentient manner, though he can instinctively guide them to do things within their capabilities.
