Art Department

The (Unofficial) Factions of ERA

The ERA Art Department offers college courses in the fields of visual, performative, and creative arts, giving students the oppurtunity to explore various forms of artistic expression, thoerym and technical skills. The department typically includes year-round programs for art history, painting/drawing, sculpture, fashion, theatre, music, dance, and other various studies. Classrooms in the department are usually replaced by larger studios for students to work on projects or mixed-media assignments. The Art Department (or TAD as some refer to it) tends to be one of the most unconventional areas of ERA, with students freely pushing creative boundaries and challenging norms, far beyond what is already accepted among Electi. It’s not uncommon to see a dancer incorporating moving their own silhouettes into their choreography, a musician who doesn’t even need to hold an instrument to replicate its sound, or a painter creating living murals you can literally jump inside of.

Also, most of the Electi enrolled are freaks.

In reality, many who major in the Arts often find themselves drawn to the spotlight that is the school’s chaotic and unpredictable nature, if not causing a scene themselves, from organizing alongside the Black Market to become the best faction with Wildcards, to hosting musical performances that turn into full-blown campus-wide events. The faculty members—many of whom are eccentric in their own right—often reward students who think outside the box rather than those who simply follow traditional techniques. However, this same free-spirited culture has also led to some of the strangest projects and incidents ERA has ever seen, or yet to be seen. Whether it’s through collaboration, competition, or sheer artistic chaos, those who study here stop at nothing to leave their mark—sometimes literally—on the school.
