The Offchords were a pop-punk band founded in ERA for the 2021 Rock-a-Thon competition, led by Karen, and joined by Cassie, Casti (formerly Rosie Star, frontwoman and lead singer of another band), and “Cloo”. Endorsed and managed by then-Profesor Sean Kerosol, the band would see short-lived success as finalists. Their diverse musical influences included artists and bands such as Anamanaguchi, Kero Kero Bonito, boa, Twenty One Pilots, Mother Mother, carolesdaughter, Metric, and more.
However, hostility and distrust grew between Karen and the other members upon discovering her ulterior motives in forming the band was to get revenge on Brown, bassist for Collateral Damage. During practice sessions, Karen would emotionally manipulate her bandmates to earn trust while also using them and their connections to enact sabotage on Collateral Damage in between rounds. On top of this, Cloo was later discovered to be an undercover plant by his original counterpart, Claude Evans, to gather crucial information needed to arrest Karen. The band quickly disbanded during the end contest after Karen’s public murder attempt on Brown and Kay, another CD member. Cassie would later disappear from ERA; Cloo returned to Claude upon successfully helping close the Karen case; in 2023, Casti would join Kay and Pearl to form a new band, RGB.
