Hugo has started an art club, attracting both new and familiar faces to the crew. Two new students, fraternal twins literally inseparable from one another, have joined enrollment, and are bullying everyone they come across. Nathaniel’s masculinity is deathly afraid of this. Splats has returned from prison. ‘Nuff said. Kay and Nathaniel make amends, and discuss life outside the academy along with its hardships, rules, and expectations. As if their lives aren’t busy enough, Kay (again) and Brown are tasked to explore Skyber’s underground basement(s) and uncover the secrets behind the mysterious reality warping that is occurring from her malfunctioning remnants of the Wildcard Tournament’s AR simulation. Pearl, on the other hand, is trying to become a dealer for the casino. And somehow she’s on the same pay grade. On a completely unrelated note, Brown and Kay are starting a worker’s union.
The staff, however, are taking matters into their own hands, amidst the Administration’s blatant ignorance and/or incompetence thus far. Professor Goldman is taking care of the sick and poisoned. Kate mistakenly believes she’s sick like Tony Hawk, but is actually hurling up microplastics. Jason Whitman, Carrie’s lawyer, is currently crying into a piano. Charlie and Claude enlist the help of Dr. Ernst, using ERA’s complicated, labyrinth-like sewer system to traverse through and clean up the Orbeez before they pile up any more. Meanwhile, Gyssabel and Lily are traversing the sewage lines too, following the tunnels with the most Orbeez to track down the perpetrator(s) at the source, and flush them out with the help of Bob and his off-campus lake’s water supply. You can see where this is heading.
